Message from the Board Chair
As Shee Atiká moves forward into another new year, your staff and board are working on many exciting initiatives as we implement our strategic plan. The board and executive leadership have set ambitious goals for this year to continue growing our government contracting subsidiaries and to get our Sitka tourism project at Harbor Point operational this summer.
A large focus of our Sitka staff right now is the accounting work to close out 2022 and prepare for our annual financial audit. The audit report will be included with the annual report distributed along with proxy materials in April. Attention will soon shift to preparing for the Annual Meeting for Shareholders at the Sitka Performing Arts Center on May 20th.
This month, we also rolled out the MySheeAtiká Shareholder Portal. Built on a modified version of the MySealaska Shareholder Portal, MySheeAtiká is a safe, secure, and convenient way to directly update important shareholder information like your direct deposit or mailing address. Thank you to Sealaska Corporation for their generous support and helping us launch this new portal for Shee Atiká shareholders. Staff are available to help with registration and navigating the new portal for shareholders that have any questions or need assistance.

- Form 1099-MISC — for those who applied for a funeral benefit on behalf of a shareholder or received scholarship payments but did not attend an accredited school or university.

Ethan White (Tlingit and Haida) grew up in Sitka and joined the National Guard while in high school. He has had a year full of accomplishments, starting with graduating from Sitka High School this spring.
Last summer, he traveled across the country to attend basic training and advanced individual training in infantry and was an expert marksman.
Ethan has applied to college with an interest in civil engineering and plans to start in the fall. You may see him in town on a long run, operating heavy machinery, or snow machining.
