Message from the Board Chair
As your Board of Directors, our goal is to ensure meaningful benefits and opportunities to Shee Atiká shareholders for generations to come. Some of the ways we achieve this is through the annual distribution (dividend), scholarship funding for shareholders pursuing academic, vocational, and cultural/heritage studies, and providing financial assistance for funeral services. Despite inflation and market volatility over the last year, we were able to increase funding for our annual scholarship amounts and funeral benefits:
|
|
Increased Scholarship Amounts
- Academic: From $2,400 to $3,000
- Short-Term: From $815 to $850
- Youth: From $350 to $500
|
Increased Funeral Benefit Amounts

Our economic success as a corporation relies on a well-defined framework and a strong foundation of skill and strategy. With that in mind, it's my pleasure to introduce you to Shee Atiká's recently appointed President & Chief Executive Officer, Tim Castro.
Tim joined the Shee Atiká family of companies in June 2019 as the President of Alaska Northstar Resources. In May of 2021, he was promoted to President of Shee Atiká Government Services, a holding company that houses our four SBA 8(a) certified government contracting subsidiaries.
The Small Business Administration's 8(a) program is a business development tool that can help Alaska Native Corporations, like Shee Atiká and our subsidiary companies, win contracts with the federal government. These companies provide enterprise and cloud infrastructure, cyber security, and software development; logistics and supply chain management; and research and development in physical, engineering, and medical/life sciences. Under Tim's leadership, the team has grown its portfolio from startup to over $40 million in revenue. He has been the driving force of the growth and profitability of our subsidiaries and we are grateful to Tim for stepping into his new role as CEO. We are confident in his leadership to oversee Shee Atiká’s rapidly expanding portfolio of companies and business platforms for the benefit of our shareholders. Read full announcement
On behalf of the entire board and staff of Shee Atiká, thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you at the Annual Meeting in person or hope you will join us online.
