What began as a vision in 2024 became a reality in Summer 2026 as Shee Atiká welcomed its first official cohort of summer interns. From June 1 through August 7, four talented interns gained valuable hands-on experience in accounting, technology, marketing, and research and development while working across the Shee Atiká family of companies.
During the 10-week program, interns worked alongside experienced professionals and participated in meaningful projects, mentorship opportunities, networking events, job shadowing experiences, and professional development workshops. The program provided practical, real-world experience while helping participants explore potential career paths and develop valuable professional skills.
We are incredibly proud of our first internship class and grateful for the contributions these four outstanding individuals made during their time with us. Their success reinforces our commitment to investing in the next generation of leaders and professionals.
Looking Ahead to 2027
Shee Atiká is excited to continue growing this program and is preparing to welcome applications for the 2027 Summer Internship Program.
Students and recent graduates, especially Alaska Native shareholders and descendants, are encouraged to apply. Recruitment typically begins in the fall, with applications accepted from October 1 through January 31. Candidates are interviewed and selected during the spring, with internship offers extended in advance of the summer program.
Internship opportunities will be announced through Shee Atiká company websites, shareholder communications, career fairs, and our partner organizations.
