Message from the Chair
I hope you all had a fantastic summer and are easing into fall and the weather that comes with it. Thank you to everyone who attended our Shareholder Information Meetings in Juneau and Sitka. We have two more coming up this fall in Anchorage and Seattle. Check out News & Events and keep an eye out for reminders via our enewsletter and new Facebook page. These meetings allow shareholders to hear updates on our corporation, business, and provide an opportunity for shareholders to meet with your Board of Directors and staff in person. We hope to see you at one of the upcoming meetings in your area.
2024 is going to be an exciting year for our corporation as we celebrate 50 years. We are in the planning stages now for a special event to celebrate not only our 50 years as a corporation, but thousands of years of our heritage, culture, and people. Mark your calendar for June 15, 2024, for the Shee Atiká Annual Meeting as well as July 12, 2024, for the Shee Atiká 50th Celebration. Both events will take place in Sitka, Alaska, at Harrigan Centennial Hall. Plus, we’re currently hosting an art contest to select a special commemorative design for our 50th celebration. As we move into fall in Southeast Alaska, we realize that our goal of having our property operational at Harbor Point has not come to fruition. However, we’re working on finalizing Phase 1 of the build out and continue working through the operations side. Keep up to date as this project develops through our enewsletter, Facebook, website, and shareholder portal.

Parking: Attendees are encouraged to use the free, nearby on-street parking available on weekends in downtown Anchorage. Please note that parking is not hosted at the venue.

Every year, Shee Atiká awards thousands of dollars in scholarship funding to shareholders pursuing academic, vocational, and cultural and heritage education. This wouldn't be possible without the Scholarship Committee, which meets once a year.
Interested Shee Atiká shareholders can learn more or apply for the Scholarship Committee on our website here. Applications must be received by Friday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m. Alaska Time.

New! Shee Atiká 50th Celebration Art Contest
Thousands of years of heritage, celebrating 50 years of incorporation. Next year will mark Shee Atiká’s 50th year of incorporation as an urban Alaskan Native Corporation under ANCSA (Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act).
To celebrate this major milestone, we’re excited to announce our 50th Celebration Art Contest! We’re inviting Shee Atiká shareholders to submit a special commemorative logo to help us celebrate 50 years.
Express your creativity inspired by Raven and Eagle visual elements in your design. The winning design will be featured on a variety of special 50th celebration items and materials. Plus, the selected artist will also receive $1,000!

Shee Atiká Enterprises (SAE) Wins Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Contract
Congratulations to SAE on their recent contract award with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. SAE will provide specialty staffing to support the BIA Office of the Chief Financial Officer. We’ve added two new team members to support the overall mission of the Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs by providing overall guidance and expertise on federal acquisitions and financial assistance requirements.
This $3 million, 5-year contract supports the BIA in its mission to enhance the quality of life, to promote economic opportunity, and to carry out the responsibility to protect and improve the trust assets of American Indians, Indigenous tribes, and Alaska Natives. SAE is teaming with the current incumbent, Stafford Consulting Company, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.
